Recognizing state of Palestine is 'reward' to Hamas, Trump says
President Donald Trump criticized the move by several nations -- including France, Canada and the U.K. -- to recognize the state of Palestine, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
"As if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists for their atrocities," Trump said.

Trump also called for the immediate release of the hostages still held by Hamas, including the bodies of dead hostages.
"I've also been deeply engaged in seeking a ceasefire in Gaza. Have to get that done. We have to get it done. Unfortunately, Hamas has repeatedly rejected reasonable offers to make peace," Trump said.
