U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has launched an immigration enforcement operation in Boston, dubbed Patriot 2.0, according to a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump on Saturday posted a "Apocalypse Now"-themed post, telling officials that "Chicago is about to find out why it's called the Department of WAR." Trump signed an executive order Friday to change the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War, though the official name change requires the approval of Congress.

Trump plans to attend the U.S. Open men's final tennis match in New York on Sunday, the White House said.

Trump calls on drug companies to 'justify the success' of COVID vaccines

Amid turmoil at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, President Trump on Monday called on pharmaceutical companies to "justify the success" of their COVID vaccines.

"It is very important that the Drug Companies justify the success of their various Covid Drugs. Many people think they are a miracle that saved Millions of lives. Others disagree! With CDC being ripped apart over this question, I want the answer, and I want it NOW," Trump wrote on his social media platform.

"I have been shown information from Pfizer, and others, that is extraordinary, but they never seem to show those results to the public. Why not??? They go off to the next 'hunt' and let everyone rip themselves apart, including Bobby Kennedy Jr. and CDC, trying to figure out the success or failure of the Drug Companies Covid work," he continued.

Trump called on the companies to "clear up this MESS, one way or the other!" and said he hoped Operation Warp Speed -- a key achievement of his first term -- was "as 'BRILLIANT' as many say it was."

It's unclear what exact data Trump wants the companies to provide. Studies show COVID vaccine programs saved millions of lives during the pandemic.

Trump praises Washington's Bowser on handling of federal law enforcement surge

Amid his federal takeover of Washington, President Trump on Monday praised Mayor Muriel Bowser for working with his team to bring crime down. He went on to slam Democratic leaders in other states who've resisted or pushed back on his administration's efforts to the same in their cities.

"Her statements and actions were positive, instead of others like Pritzker, Wes Moore, Newscum, and the 5% approval rated Mayor of Chicago, who spend all of their time trying to justify violent Crime, instead of working with us to completely ELIMINATE it, which we have done in Washington, D.C., NOW A CRIME FREE ZONE," Trump wrote on his social media platform.

"Wouldn’t it be nice to say that about Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, and even the Crime Drenched City of Baltimore??? It can happen, and it can happen FAST! Work with us!!!" Trump wrote, adding: "Congratulations to Mayor Muriel Bowser, but don’t go Woke on us. D.C. is a GIANT VICTORY that never has to end!!!"

President Donald Trump late on Sunday said the United States would potentially "become a Third World Nation" if his global tariffs are ultimately blocked by the Supreme Court.

A federal appeals court ruled that most of Trump's sweeping global tariffs are unlawful, potentially dealing a significant blow to the president's effort to reshape the country's trade policy unilaterally.

In a separate post, Trump claimed prices are down with "virtually no inflation." He defended his global tariffs, saying they are bringing in trillions of dollars "from Countries that took advantage of us."
