Trump marks 1 year since assassination attempt in Butler, PA
President Donald Trump released a message marking one year since the attempted assassination of his life at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
"As we commemorate one year since the harrowing events of July 13, 2024, we reaffirm that the American spirit has and will always triumph over forces of evil and destruction," Trump said.

Trump reflected on the loss of Corey Comperatore, who attended the Butler rally and was killed protecting his family from gunfire.
"He died a hero, and we are eternally grateful for his inspiring love, valor, and faithfulness," Trump wrote.
