Combs wants to be sentenced 'as soon as possible,' attorney says
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian did not weigh in on Combs' future sentence but noted that there is a "wide" divide between what prosecutors and defense attorneys have suggested for Combs' sentence.
"We have very strong arguments that Mr. Combs would be entitled to a below-guidelines sentence," attorney Marc Agnifilo said, arguing that Combs' case stands alone compared to similar prostitution cases.
Subramanian also set a hearing in early July to determine how to proceed with the pre-sentence investigation conducted by the court's probation department.
Agnifilo says Combs wants to be sentenced "as soon as possible."
Combs has been largely motionless at the counsel table. He was seen covering his face with his hand.
