President Donald Trump took to his social media platform on Sunday to criticize both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy amid Russia's escalated attacks on Ukraine.

Trump reiterated his close relationship with Putin but noted that "something has happened" which has made him "crazy!"

The president appeared to be referencing the Russian attacks on Ukraine overnight, stating they happened "for no reason at all."

"I've always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that's proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!" Trump wrote.

The president also criticized Zelenskyy for his comments on the war.

"Likewise, President Zelenskyy is doing his Country no favors by talking the way he does. Everything out of his mouth causes problems, I don't like it, and it better stop," Trump wrote.

While speaking with reporters in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night, President Donald Trump was asked about Russia’s overnight attacks on Ukraine.

Trump expressed his discontent with Russian President Vladimir Putin for killing people while they are in conversation and mentioned he is considering implementing more sanctions.

"I'm not happy with what Putin is doing. He's killing a lot of people, and I don't know what the hell happened to Putin. I've known him a long time. Always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don't like it at all," Trump said.

"We're in the middle of talking, and he's shooting rockets into Kiev and other cities. I don't like it at all," Trump added, going on to say he was "surprised" by the attacks.

Ukraine's air force said in a post to Telegram on Sunday that Russia launched a total of 367 "air attack vehicles" -- among them nine Iskander ballistic missiles, 56 cruise missiles, four guided air missiles and 298 attack drones -- at targets across the country.

The attack marks the fourth consecutive night during which Russia launched more than 100 missiles and drones into Ukraine, per Ukrainian air force figures.

The barrages came despite the beginning of a multi-day prisoner exchange process on Friday and ongoing U.S.-brokered peace talks.

Later, Trump was asked if he would consider more sanctions on Russia.

"Absolutely. He's killing a lot of people. I don't know what's wrong with him. What the hell happened to him, right? He's killing a lot of people and I'm not happy with that," Trump said.

In a post to Truth Social on Sunday, President Donald Trump announced that he agreed to an extension on the 50% tariffs on the European Union.

The new deadline has been set for July 9, Trump said.

The president's decision came after a phone call with Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission.

"I received a call today from Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, requesting an extension on the June 1st deadline on the 50% Tariff with respect to Trade and the European Union," Trump wrote.

"I agreed to the extension -- July 9, 2025 -- It was my privilege to do so," he added.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his office in Jerusalem on Sunday, according to a readout from Netanyahu's office.

"The Secretary of Homeland Security expressed great appreciation for the Prime Minister's policy of building the fence on the Egyptian border and conducting the war," the readout said.

The U.S.'s ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, also attended the meeting.
