NBA Finals ticket prices: What options fans have for Knicks and Spurs' home and away games

The stage is set for the 2026 NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs and the decades-in-the-making rematch has prompted stratospheric ticket prices for the nearly sold-out series.

As avid basketball fans frantically search for highly coveted tickets to the post-season matchup, prices have skyrocketed to attend in person, ranging from courtside at over $42,000 to the cheapest nosebleeds at just under $1,000.

The competitively priced tickets are available for resale on sites like Ticketmaster, StubHub, Vivid Seats and others, but vary depending on which venue and game.

NBA Finals ticket prices, Game 1 in San Antonio

After a decades-long drought, the Knicks are seeking redemption after their last NBA Finals appearance in 1999 when they lost to the Spurs in five games.

With the better regular season record in the West, the Spurs -- led by Defensive Player of the Year Victor Wembanyama -- will host Games 1 and 2 of the series, tipping off Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 p.m. at home.

Fans hoping to secure one of the 18,418 seats inside Frost Bank Center can snag a spot through the venue's third-party operator, Ticketmaster, with the cheapest available option for a single Balcony Level seat in the 200s section at $969.21, as of the time of publication.

The best, and most expensive ticket left available at the Spurs arena, is in the first row of the Ledger Courtside Club with a price of $48,400.00 and the caveat of "no rival team gear" allowed to be worn in the section.

NBA Finals ticket prices, Game 3 in New York City

Madison Square Garden, which has a 19,812 total seat capacity for NBA games, has various get-in prices on third party sites for Game 3 on June 8.

The secondary market for the first New York home game hovers around $4,000 and up for one seat on multiple sites including Gametime and Vivid Seats.

"On sale date and time are in the works - please check back," the Ticketmaster website states for MSG tickets.

A representative for MSG did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment.

By comparison to other major sporting events, the prices are close to surpassing that of Super Bowl LX tickets at Levi's Stadium, which went for just over $4,800 earlier this year, according to People.

NBA Finals watch parties in San Antonio and NYC

Ticketed watch parties have started to pop up in both teams' cities as an alternative to being inside the arenas with deals on food and drinks, in addition to a place to watch all the action with fellow fans to enjoy more of an atmosphere.

The Spurs announced a slate of activations including official watch parties hosted by Michelob ULTRA at The Rock at La Cantera for all Finals games.

The watch parties will be limited entry with first come, first served availabilities and people can RSVP online, but it will not guarantee entry.

Frost Bank Center will also host free watch parties for all away games, with tickets that will become available to claim through the Spurs Fan Club and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bars across the Tri-state teamed up in partnership with the NBA and Michelob ULTRA to host fans and cheer on the Knicks at an array of spots in the Official Playoff Bar Network.

The famed Knickerbocker Hotel will host live game screenings in the fourth-floor Martini Lounge throughout the finals, complete with a $36 Watch Party Package option that includes a featured cocktail, sliders and french fries. There will also be a Victory Martini Minute after every Knicks win in which guests will be treated to a mini martini served at the end of the game.

When do the NBA Finals start

Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off Wednesday, June 3 in San Antonio.

Game 2 is on Friday, June 5 in San Antonio.

Game 3 is on Monday, June 8 in New York City.

Game 4 is on Wednesday, June 10 in New York City.

If it goes to a Game 5, the teams would return to San Antonio to play on Saturday, June 13. A subsequent Game 6, if required, would be on June 16 in New York City.

How to watch the NBA Finals

ESPN's exclusive presentation of the 2026 NBA Finals will air on ABC beginning Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 p.m. ET with Game 1.

All games will air live on ABC and will be available to stream on the ESPN App.
