Emmy Awards 2025 recap: The biggest winners and most memorable moments

Comedian Nate Bargatze makes his debut tonight as the host of the Emmys.

Viewers, and the stars in attendance, will be watching to see the approach Bargatze takes to the delicate balance of keeping things lighthearted while also making jokes that will make headlines.

The comedian – dubbed the “nicest man in stand-up” by The Athletic – previously said he wants to make the show “lively and fun” and will keep the jokes focused on himself, the same self-deprecating approach he takes in his stand-up shows.

"The Studio," "The Penguin" and "Severance" also won several Emmys at the Creative Arts Emmys.

"The Studio” won nine Emmys, including outstanding production design for a narrative program (half hour), outstanding casting for a comedy series and outstanding cinematography for a series (half hour). Bryan Cranston also won the Emmy for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his performance as Griffin Mill in the series.

"Severance” won six Emmys, including outstanding cinematography for a series (one hour) and outstanding music composition for a series (original dramatic score). Merritt Wever also won the Emmy for outstanding guest actress in a drama series for her performance as Gretchen George in the hit series.

Prior to tonight's show, the Creative Arts Emmys were held last weekend in Los Angeles.

"SNL 50" won several Emmys for production design, sound mixing, makeup, writing and more.

Former President Barack Obama also won an Emmy for narrating "Our Oceans," while Julie Andrews won the Emmy for character voice-over performance for "Bridgerton."

Hollywood’s biggest stars will start arriving on the red carpet of the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles tonight at 5 p.m., ET.

The show itself starts at 8 p.m., ET, and will be broadcast live on the CBS Network. The show will also be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.
