Navy removes commander of 7th Fleet after string of accidents

Vice Adm. Joseph Aucoin, the head of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, has been relieved of duty because of a "loss of confidence in his ability to command" after the collisions involving the USS John S. McCain and the USS Fitzgerald and the resulting deaths, the Navy said.
